 Planting of spring crops such as Asian brassicas, peas, and chrysanthemum takes place from mid-September through to the end of October. Harvest is from January to February, and extends into March and April for longer maturing crops.
Seed export begins in January and February in communication with customers to meet their delivery requirements.
Longer maturating crops such as carrots, celery, spinach, beets and crops which require a vernalisation period are planted in the summer or early autumn (January – March) and are harvested in the following summer to early autumn period.
